bio
I have a broad and hungry intellect. One of my earliest passions was writing and communication, and the simplicity of the perfect word choice has persisted through every turn in my life.
While following a talent for languages through minors in French and Spanish, I continued writing creatively and studying under lauded poets like Marie Howe and Cathy Park Hong, whose ecopoetics and political outlook have shaped everything I do. Then I took a course called A Liberal Artist’s Guide to Web Design, which introduced me to the systematically creative nature of programming.
After nearly a decade in website development and software engineering, the headaches and backaches that installed themselves with my computer work became unignorable. My work week turned into a minefield of migraine triggers and symptoms; like many during the COVID lockdown, I began to know that I wanted to reshape my life.
In bodywork, I reclaim my bodily awareness as I find it in. The movements of human nervous systems tendril toward each other; in order for someone to feel calm and ease in their body, there is no better path than to find it in myself.
It is exciting to me that I am trusted with another’s body to relieve pain, create easy movement, and find space throughout the whole.
